Compliance Consultant

W&A is partnering with a global asset management organisation based in Edinburgh. They have an opportunity for a Compliance Consultant to join their team. You will help maintain an excellent standard of documentation with respect to all your compliance activities, working closely with the compliance units globally to drive best practice in 2nd line oversight of the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter with experience of compliance within the investment management industry to grow their skills and become a subject matter expert. This role will operate on a hybrid basis with three in office days a week. Key Responsibilities: Assess and offer solutions on core compliance matters Attend internal business meetings as a compliance representative Support Compliance policy review schedule and effectiveness assessment Compliance Policy Oversight, e.g. Code of Ethics, Conflicts of Interest, Market Abuse Conduct Compliance Training for the 1st line Maintain ongoing SMCR oversight Oversee Regulatory Reporting Support and provide a compliance risk view onboarding new clients, product initiatives Experience & Skills: Sound knowledge of relevant UK regulation Experience and knowledge of the asset management business Relevant compliance experience Experience compiling information for regulatory examinations and audits as directed Ability to form close working relationships across the business Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels across the organisation
