Compliance Engineer

Social network you want to login/join with: Overview First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic business who are looking to recruit a Compliance Engineer on a permanent basis based at their Aylesbury depot. About the role: The role's purpose is to support business operations by performing technical document reviews and the screening of a wide variety of radio and electrical devices (RF & EMC), prior to technical compliance submissions to international regulatory authorities, laboratories, and test houses. Duties and Responsibilities: Supporting technically complex Type Approval applications to international test labs, agencies, and regulatory authorities worldwide. Conduct technical document reviews and perform sample screening (limited in-house testing) on customer product samples, to ensure suitability of samples prior to testing. Act as a technical lead for mid and complex customer accounts in technically demanding countries and maintain open channels of communication with all stakeholders. Supporting test laboratories worldwide and responding to technical queries to support lab testing of customers’ products. Create and maintain internal training material for delivery to all stakeholders. Develop compliance strategies by researching international compliance standards and how they apply to client’s product technology. Undertake technical research activities. Skills and Qualifications: In-depth understanding of technical documentation with ability and previous experience in reviewing and interpreting engineering documents and drawings, including test reports, electrical schematics, and PCBs etc. Excellent attention to detail and aptitude for accuracy. Hold a relevant engineering or scientific/technical degree (e.g. electrical engineering, electronics and telecommunications engineering) with a technical background and/or engineering experience, preferably in RF / EMC / Electronics. Practical experience in the use of test and measurement equipment (e.g. spectrum analyser, oscilloscope) for basic measurements. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with previous experience of troubleshooting and resolving technical and regulatory issues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-starter able to work on your own initiative and as part of a supportive team. £30,000 – £40,000 Working Hours:
