Our client is a specialist hedge fund, HQ'd in London. After recent good performance and the recent launch of new funds, they are now looking to add a Compliance Manager to their existing team in London. Reporting into the Chief Compliance Officer, the Compliance Manager will be expected to perform a broad generalised compliance role, with an emphasis on Surveillance tasks. Duties will include: Surveillance monitoring for best execution, market abuse and market manipulation Monitoring the firm's shareholder disclosures responsibilities Develop and maintain the compliance monitoring programme Provide regulatory advice to senior stakeholders Conduct thematic reviews Maintain, update and implement compliance policies and procedures The ideal candidate will have: 5-7+ years compliance experience, ideally within a hedge fund or investment manager Strong understanding of surveillance, ideally within equities
