About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Work-Based & Professional Learning Team, as part of the Flexible & Online Learning Division within the Education Group as a Degree Apprenticeships Compliance Officer, a full time permanent post.

The post will include working as part of a team who maintain an oversight of the collation of apprentice data for learner records, leading on audits (e.g. by the Education and Skills Funding Agency) and developing an embedded culture of compliance and risk management across the institution.

The post holder will support the Programmes Managers, Head of Work-Based & Professional Learning, other Professional Services staff and academic departments through provision of high quality, audit ready management of data to ensure compliance of Degree Apprenticeship programmes with our statutory obligations.

About You

We are seeking an individual who is able to support multiple streams of work and is adaptive to new initiatives and priorities. The candidate should be a self starter, be able to work on their own initiative, demonstrating accurate and excellent attention to detail as well as being an effective communicator.

You will be expected to demonstrate a proactive attitude to your work, supporting and contributing positively to departmental decision making, and engaging with all colleagues across the professional team.

It is essential to have apprenticeship knowledge and experience working within this area.

About the Department

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team working to establish alternative pathways into Higher Education across the University. Reporting directly to a Programmes Manager in the Work-Based & Professional Learning Team, the successful candidate will work with University departments and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with statutory and legislative obligations relating to Degree Apprenticeships.

The department has a flexible approach to hybrid working; the candidate would be expected to be able to work on campus at least twice a week. There will be occasions when the successful candidate would be expected to work on campus when required for business need.
