Compliance Officer for Important Shareholding Disclosures (ISH) - AVP/VP

You will be part of a strong 3-person Global ISH Disclosures team within the broader Business and Regulatory Compliance function. The ISH team collaborates closely with portfolio managers, product teams, IT functions, Operations, and other Legal & Compliance stakeholders, including key external stakeholders at parent company Allianz SE.
The ISH Disclosures team is responsible for the daily monitoring, validation, and submission of time-sensitive regulatory filings, such as Major Shareholding, Short Selling, and Takeover reporting to global regulators. Additionally, the team manages other shareholding-related tasks unique to AllianzGI.
What you will do
- Conduct and/or review daily shareholder monitoring, data validation, and filing preparation for ISH reporting obligations.
- Ensure accurate and complete disclosure submissions within prescribed internal and external regulatory deadlines, interpreting and enriching data (in Excel) to validate position movements and provide evidence-based filing submissions.
- Interpret legal guidance and regulatory changes across various jurisdictions, assess their impact on compliance system logic, and prepare analytical findings for further review with key stakeholders at the parent company.
- Focus on issue management, advisory support, data and regulatory analysis, project support, and stakeholder management.
- Work closely with portfolio managers, IT, Operations, Legal & Compliance counterparts, and both internal and external stakeholders within the Allianz group of operating entities and external law firms.
- Actively participate in various ad hoc meetings and projects.
- Maintain procedures and management information metrics.
- Assist with training and oversee new team members.
- Onsite Presence - be at the office the majority of time, at least 3 days per week.
What you bring
- 3-5 years’ experience working in the asset management industry, or a similar data-driven regulatory reporting role.
- Exposure to Bloomberg or similar trading platforms.
- Familiarity with the EU Transparency Directive.
- Familiarity with exception/alerts-based compliance systems.
- Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency (using VLOOKUP’s, sum and other formulas).
- Stakeholder Management experience.
- Fluency in English (must have); German or French (beneficial).
- Strong numerical, analytical and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail required (zero breach focus).
- Pro-active approach to issue resolution, ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and an innovative mindset to support the continued streamlining and automation of the function.
