The Compliance Officer will be responsible for managing ISOQAR's quality and compliance requirements. This role ensures that our certification processes and operations adhere to all relevant legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. The Compliance Officer will be instrumental in developing, implementing and monitoring policies and procedures to maintain and enhance our compliance framework as well as managing, conducting and participating in our internal audit programme and accreditation assessments. What that means day to day Oversee the ISOQAR competency framework including the development and assurance of competency criteria and tests of understanding. Support the scheme management for ISO 9001 including assessing and managing changes, identifying and implementing improvement opportunities, and assisting in the approval of ISO 9001 Lead Auditors. Assist in the maintenance of the ISOQAR Management System. Develop, implement and monitor compliance policies and procedures. Facilitate the ISOQAR forums for compliance and impartiality. Support to ensure that certification activities comply with applicable standards, regulations, and accreditation requirements. Support the development and implementations of a robust internal audit programme. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance risks and areas for improvement. Support colleagues with their response to improvement requirements. Support the New Product Development process and compliance aspects of other projects. Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance-related matters. Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and standards affecting the certification industry. Investigate and resolve escalated compliance issues, complaints and appeals. Facilitate the analysis and reporting of compliance data to support resource planning. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to compliance and risk management. What you'll need to be successful Excellent knowledge of the certification industry with at least 3 years working experience in relevant areas Good knowledge of ISO 17021/17065 requirements Knowledge of a range of standards including quality, environmental and health and safety management system standards Good understanding of risk assessment and auditing methodologies Experience undertaking internal audits What you'll get in return Alcumus has a
