Develop, review, and update college policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to communicate policies effectively and ensure understanding and adherence.
Compliance Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor and evaluate college activities to identify areas of potential non-compliance. Conduct regular audits and assessments to assess the effectiveness of compliance initiatives. Prepare and submit reports to senior management, regulatory agencies, and accrediting bodies as required.
Training and Education:
Develop and deliver compliance training programs for college staff, faculty, and students. Provide guidance and support to departments on compliance-related matters, including interpreting regulations and resolving compliance issues.
Investigations and Remediation:
Investigate reports of potential compliance violations and implement appropriate corrective actions. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement remediation plans to address compliance deficiencies.
Risk Management:
Identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Stay informed about emerging regulatory developments and industry trends to proactively address compliance challenges.
Ethics and Integrity:
Promote a culture of ethical behaviour and integrity throughout the college community. Serve as a resource for ethical decision-making and provide guidance on ethical dilemmas.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., law, business, public administration). Advanced degree or certification (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) preferred. Previous experience in compliance, risk management, or related field, preferably in a higher education or regulatory environment. Strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and build effective relationships.
