Compliance and Sustainability Manager Mechanical Engineering Contractor Permanent: Up to £50,000 + Package Based in Maidenhead

We are currently seeking a Compliance and Sustainability Manager for a leading specialist Mechanical Engineering Contractor based in Maidenhead. This contractor is renowned for their expertise in designing, producing, and installing prefabricated mechanical packages for industries such as data centres, semiconductors, and pharmaceuticals across the UK and Europe.

The role will involve driving compliance with industry standards and regulations while developing and implementing sustainability initiatives to align with the company's commitment to environmental responsibility. The Compliance and Sustainability Manager will work closely with project teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure all operations meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain compliance frameworks to ensure adherence to industry standards, legislation, and company policies.

* Conduct audits and inspections to monitor compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

* Drive sustainability initiatives, including reducing waste, improving energy efficiency, and promoting sustainable practices throughout the organization.

* Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance and sustainability best practices.

* Collaborate with project teams to integrate sustainability into project planning and delivery.

* Monitor and report on sustainability and compliance performance, identifying areas for improvement.

* Stay up to date with emerging regulations and sustainability trends to ensure the company remains a leader in these areas.

Requirements:

* Proven experience in a compliance, sustainability, or related role within the construction or engineering sector.

* Strong knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as sustainability practices and frameworks.

* Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

* Passion for driving sustainability and continuous improvement across an organization.
