Carbonwurks is a small business in Poole. We specialise in Carbon Fibre products for road-going cars and offer a range of different services from carbon fibre repair, performance car installations, and modifying along with car maintenance & detailing.

Built from a Motorsports background, we remain an industry leader in our field and are expanding quickly to take on additional services we can offer the performance vehicle world.

We are looking for someone to join our company that would fit in with our small team and become a key member in repairing carbon fibre parts along with prep & packing of completed components. The role would include key areas of varied work offering a range of opportunities. We are looking for someone with prior experience of working with composites.

Purpose of role:

Repairing carbon fibre composite parts (car diffusers, splitters, panels etc)

Skinning carbon fibre parts (using original components as a base)

Trimming & sanding of composites

Inspection & assembly

Polishing and prepping complete and finished carbon fibre parts (post clearcoat)

Packaging workshop orders that are being dispatched worldwide

Maintaining workshop (consumables & materials & tidying)

Working alongside in-house vehicle technicians to improve fitment & design

Skill, Experience and Knowledge:

Good practical skills

Experience of repairing carbon fibre composites & working with resins

Experience of preparing carbon fibre for clearcoat & post-production polishing

Problem-solving skills

Basic PC/Tablet literacy

Ability to work to deadline and prioritise workload

Capable of following procedures & instructions

Personal Attributes:

Ability to work predominately in a standalone role

Highly self-motivated, enthusiastic

Team player. Being a part of a small, tight-knit team. Helping and working with others on various projects

Focused on targets and working to obtain the best results possible

Very high attention to detail

Great communication skills

We are looking for someone who is motivated to work in the automotive sector and is inspired by the performance-based industry. Our fabrication side of the company is in its infancy and as such, we are looking for a key member to join our team and take on the main role of repairing and prepping our carbon fibre parts. We currently repair carbon fibre for a good selection of vehicle franchises as well as finish and prep a range of carbon fibre products to be shipped worldwide. Although a standalone role, guidance & help will be given.

Working hours:

Full-time role

Monday through Friday

37.5 hours per week
