What the role involves
- Driving continuous improvement using lean tools and techniques, improving efficiency and reducing waste.
- Leading RCCA activities and implementing corrective and preventative actions to eliminate repeat non‑conformances.
- Developing and maintaining job cards and manufacturing documentation through to production handover.
- Supporting first‑off manufacture and validating processes with production teams.
- Selecting appropriate materials, tooling, fixtures, and jigs for composite manufacturing.
- Delivering manufacturing engineering projects from concept through to full production implementation.
Skills and requirements
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes within a regulated production environment.
- Experience with composite materials and associated manufacturing methods (prepreg, advanced composites, autoclave, layup).
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrable problem‑solving capability using structured techniques such as RCCA.
