Design superconducting and resistive electromagnets and coil systems using advanced tools including ANSYS finite element packages. These designs will simultaneously address electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical aspects. Develop and maintain bespoke software for the design and testing of magnet systems. Create special-purpose tools using commercial software packages. Provide expert advice and perform troubleshooting analysis to support production. Computational Scientist Requirements
Proven ability to communicate complex results effectively through written reports and spoken presentations. Degree qualification in a relevant discipline. A determined problem-solver, meticulous about details, with a natural talent for identifying and correcting errors. Ability to devise innovative solutions within challenging operational constraints. Practical experience in magnets, cryogenics, mechanics, electronics, production methods, and collaborative work environments is highly advantageous. Job Type:
