Our CAD Technician spends the majority of their time based at our Head Office, with occasional visits to sites and regional offices to meet with contractors, consultants, and suppliers. Overall objective: Reporting to the CAD Manager, you will be responsible for collaborating with various specialised consultants, ensuring all project-related information is accurately integrated and standardized within our AutoCAD drawings. You will act as the central point for consolidating diverse technical inputs into cohesive, precise, and compliant AutoCAD designs within our mining, property, and housebuilding business. It's about collaborating with our subject matter experts to interpret technical data, ensuring all inputs align with project requirements and company standards. You will develop and maintain accurate AutoCAD drawings by incorporating technical data from various consultants (structural, MEP, civil), ensuring all drawings from various disciplines are georeferenced accurately, using AutoCAD Map 3D as the primary software tool. Technical skills/knowledge/education required: Expert knowledge of AutoCAD with a proven track record of producing accurate, high-quality technical drawings. Strong understanding of various disciplines such as architecture, civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical engineering. Experience standardizing information from various sources into cohesive AutoCAD drawings. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines. A basic understanding of Health and Safety principles and how they affect site operations. Desirable: AutoCAD Map 3D software. Familiarity with industry standards and codes related to drafting. Knowledge of other design software (e.g., Revit, Civil, SketchUp). Experience of the Planning Application process. Experience of working on residential housing schemes. Understanding of general design and technical processes. Reasonable knowledge of building regulations. GIS Knowledge. Full UK driving licence.
