Lea Valley Academy is an 11-19 academy with 870 students on roll. Lea Valley Academy is a member of the EDACT trust. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, ambitious and committed Head of Computer Science with excellent subject knowledge to teach Computer Science at our school. Computer Science is a popular subject with many students opting to study it at Key stage 4 and 5. This post has become available due to the upcoming retirement of our current successful long-serving Head of Computer Science at the end of this academic school year. Therefore, we require a new Head of Computer Science for September 2025 but are also able to offer an April start for any candidate wishing to work alongside the current Head of Department for a term. We are looking for an individual who will be able to continue to raise standards and performance across key stages 3, 4 & 5 and ensure a positive learning environment throughout the department. This is a unique opportunity for a talented teacher with the ambition, drive, and desire to deliver the school’s vision and become a valued member of our school community.
