A bit about the role

We are looking for a talented Concept Designer to join our team and contribute to the creation of innovative furniture and specialty products. You'll work alongside our Creative Design Manager and Head of Creative to bring design concepts to life, developing CAD models using SolidWorks and Fusion 360. This is a great opportunity to grow your design skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Some of your key responsibilities

Working closely with our Creative Design Manager and Head of Creative to develop design concepts for the furniture and speciality NPD teams.

Presenting design concepts and CAD development to the wider design team.

Working closely with our in-house prototype technicians, with the development of early prototypes.

Presenting design concepts and CAD developments to the broader design team for feedback and refinement.

Partnering with in-house prototype technicians to support the creation and development of initial prototypes using SolidWorks and Fusion 360.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, light design or a related field.

Proven experience in product design.

Strong SolidWorks user knowledge is essential and Fusion 360 is useful but not essential.

Excellent IT skills with competent use of Microsoft Office (mainly Outlook and Excel).

Experience in creating high quality renders.

Experience in creating high quality concept sketches.

A good understanding of material properties and manufacturing processes.

3D printing and prototyping knowledge useful but not essential.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and comfortable working to tight deadlines.

Highly organised and have an eye for detail.

Confident, pro-active, approachable, and happy to turn your hand to anything required.
