Concierge - Permanent, Canning Town (E14) Hours: 42 hours per week – 4 on 4 off, days and nights (7am - 7pm or 7pm - 7am) Your new responsibilities: Ensure all requests & enquiries to the Concierge Department (in person, email, and telephone) are dealt with efficiently, timely, and professionally. Assist with the security of residents and the building, ensuring the safety of all residents and visitors. Accept and issue resident parcels. Meet and greet residents, guests, and clients, demonstrating a stand-to-greet service. Ensure the smooth running of communication systems within the estate (telephone, radio, internal intercom system, etc.). Ensure only authorized persons are given access to areas. Issue visitor parking permits and explain onsite parking procedures. Aid estate security by regularly communicating with them, including informing them of concerning matters. Liaise with cleaning staff regarding domestic rubbish removal and assist with rubbish removal if necessary. Correctly report any incidents or complaints. Safeguard security keys on behalf of residents and the estate, strictly following standard operating procedures. Issue keys only to correct personnel/residents, ensuring appropriate authorization & disclaimers are in place. Cross-train other resort departments. Receipt & issue residents’ dry cleaning/laundry, ensuring relevant paperwork is completed. Conduct apartment & estate key audits during night shifts, following up on any missing keys. Proactively deal with maintenance and cleaning issues identified within the estate. Maintain a safe environment for all people in the estate at all times. Securely handle people’s data, ensuring PC is locked when not in use and complying with GDPR. Report accidents and record them in the accident book as appropriate. Turn on and off lobby lights at appropriate times. Handle high-pressure moments where many people may be queuing, dealing with complex issues calmly. Conduct monthly stock checks of the first-aid box and concierge stock, requisitioning supplies as appropriate. Assist residents in a friendly, proactive, and efficient manner with appropriate follow-up. Know all essential aspects of the resort. Build a good rapport with residents. What you need to succeed: Polite and confident with a great deal of patience. Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
