The Role : Reporting to the General Manager Community Engagement, the Conference and Events Lead’s role is pivotal to managing the successful delivery of a profitable and high-quality events program at AIDH. With a passion to create first-class customer experiences, with a focus on innovation, operational efficiency and continuous improvement, this role requires professionalism, expertise and knowledge of best practice to produce a corporate events program throughout the organisation, along with timely and personable customer service. Key Responsibilities : Create long term strategies, innovation and operational efficiencies to advance the corporate events program. Deliver the corporate events program with strategic insight and best practice, while developing sustainable events budgets. Organise AIDH’s entire conference program, prioritising reputation, profitability and sustainability, including building vendor relationships and venue coordination, social functions, sponsorship and exhibition entitlements and other logistical requirements. Lead professional customer service, presenting a high commitment to exceptional customer relationships and strong attention to detail, while proactively using customer feedback to improve the corporate events program. What you will bring to the role to succeed : Experience - approximately eight to ten years’ experience in event leadership, coordination and delivery. Management of the entire conference and event programs from start to end within a small team. Upholding a high degree of professionalism, being proactive, flexible and committed. Effectively handling competing and challenging priorities. Engaging with volunteers, vendors and customers to build strong relationships. Being strategic and understanding best practice to advance improvements for future events. Mitigating risks and taking appropriate action to implement pre-emptive solutions. Maintaining high attention to detail. Experience with software such as EventsAir and/or similar cloud-based software. Availability to travel interstate and attend local events as required.
