A prestigious international law firm with a prominent London presence is seeking a Conflicts Analyst to join its highly regarded team. This permanent role offers an excellent opportunity to work on a global scale, supporting associates and contributing to the firm’s commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and compliance standards. In this role, you will take on the responsibility of assisting the associates with compliance matters and analysing data related to potential new business and new hires. You will work closely with conflict associates and other key departments to identify and address ethical and business-related conflicts of interest. A significant part of the role involves handling the new business intake process and ensuring all submissions comply with firm policies and business requirements. Day-to-day, the role will require you to respond to queries from associates, paralegals, and legal secretaries regarding new business processes. You will perform and document detailed conflicts searches, conduct corporate research, and prepare clearance reports for review. Managing the review and approval of new business documentation, such as Outside Counsel Guidelines, Engagement Letters, and Waiver Letters, is another essential aspect of the position. Additionally, you will maintain access controls for confidential matters and ensure that all relevant databases and systems are updated and well-maintained according to firm policies. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organisational skills and a collaborative mindset, alongside a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Communication skills are critical, as is the ability to exercise sound judgment and make informed decisions under pressure. Familiarity with legal technology platforms, such as Intapp Open or similar systems, and corporate research tools will be advantageous. A background of three to four years in risk management, conflicts searching, or related fields within a law firm environment is expected, alongside a bachelor’s degree. Availability for occasional overtime, including weekends and holidays, is also required. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to the success of a renowned law firm while developing their career in a fast-paced, global environment. If you are adaptable, detail-oriented, and eager to deliver exceptional service, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact.
