Ivy Resource Group are currently recruiting for an
Estimator
to join their company on a permanent basis in Swindon, Wiltshire. The company: Our client is a regional contractor who predominately works in the commercial sector on projects such as schools, colleges, churches, and museums. The role entails: Assessing the Client's requirements Reviewing project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work, materials needed, and labour requirements Working closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure that estimates are accurate Conducting site visits to gather necessary information Measuring quantities and preparing the bill of quantities using specialized software and industry-standard methods Preparing and sending out subcontractor and supplier enquiries Analysing and interpreting the subcontractor's proposals to ensure the Client's requirements are met Identifying risks, opportunities, and making informed decisions about pricing and profitability Requirements: Have worked for a similar contractor, with a minimum of 3 years experience (5 years + ideally) Knowledge of construction industry standards, practices, and materials Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Good communication and negotiation skills Professionally qualified preferably in a construction-related field or equivalent proven ability and experience in a similar role Proficient computer skills, particularly with Conquest estimating software and Excel Hold a full UK driving license Benefits: Competitive salary Working for a company with a strong order book of future works Genuine opportunity for progression Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 + car allowance How to apply: Submit your CV Call / Text / Whatsapp Robbie on 07835 935 486 for a confidential conversation.
