JOB TITLE:
Construction Lawyer (In-house) PQE REQUIRED:
4+ LOCATION:
Newcastle (Hybrid 3 days in office)
THE ROLE:
Due to business growth, an opportunity has arisen for an additional Construction Lawyer to join our client's legal team. As part of a small but strong legal team, you will be at the very heart of the business advising on legal issues and reducing risk. The role will include: Reviewing and negotiating global project appointments. Working with a range of stakeholders across the business on construction projects. Supporting the implementation of legal risk management policies. Management of the legal team (where relevant). Providing assistance to other areas: data protection, IPR, property, debt. Assisting the other members of the legal team on wider strategic projects. THE CANDIDATE:
Ideal candidates will be: Qualified Solicitors with 4+ years’ PQE. Experience of professional appointments. Experience of construction contracts. Legal experience of construction law preferably gained in a consultancy environment or with a client/contractor (nice to have). Great analytical skills and excellent legal knowledge. Ability to multitask, problem solve, and balance competing priorities. Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.
