6 As a niche Managing General Agent holding both Lloyd’s Coverholder and Broker Status, this firm is recognised as a market-leader across its chosen disciplines, and is renowned for being able to offer innovative solutions and adapt quickly to changes in a fast-paced market. It has a flat-management structure, headed by a highly respected leadership team and is well-known for employing some of the most talented Underwriters in the market. Your primary focus will be to write Liability risks within the Construction sector (specifically for Roofers & Scaffolders). This is a sector where our client is flourishing (growing 20% year on year), and benefiting from a constantly growing number of broker enquiries. Using your technical expertise, you will typically focus on writing new and renewal Employer’s & Public Liability risks with premiums averaging around £5,000. It is essential that you have experience of underwriting business for Roofers & Scaffolders, together with a good understanding of both EL & PL insurance. You must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), together with the ability to trade with brokers on individual cases and overall accounts. You will receive a salary of up to £60,000 (Potentially more for outstanding candidates), plus a highly lucrative bonus and a host of benefits including 4 X DIS, free family travel insurance and subsidised gym memberships.
