Project Manager

to join our Construction Management & Design Build Team in

Glastonbury, CT

to manage construction projects from the preconstruction phase through its completion. This position is responsible for ensuring that the construction project is concluded successfully by performing the following duties: Orchestrates, coordinates, schedules, assigns, and manages work performed by all subs and suppliers; reads and interprets plans, specifications, and contracts; tracks and monitors projects. Works with Design teams in the preconstruction phase for logistics, phasing, and constructability reviews. Acts as Project Team lead for overall budget and schedule successes; works closely with our site super, APMs, and other team members to coordinate and manage projects. Breaks down scope of work into assignable trade packages, bids, and negotiates contracts for the work while maintaining the overall budget. Reports to Senior Management. Manages client communications and responsiveness to their needs. Monitors compliance with federal, state, and local codes and OSHA regulations. Qualifications Minimum requirements are a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management or a related field of study or experience. 5+ years of relevant experience in multi-million commercial/institutional construction, with education or healthcare projects being a plus. Strong team building and leadership skills. Knowledge of standard construction practices and the ability to work with architects and trades to address design and construction issues. Proficiency in Excel, Procore, and MS Project or P-6 & Bluebeam. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong understanding of construction techniques. Strong scheduling skills, work ethic, pride in work, team orientation, acute attention to detail, and a desire to learn. Ability to work under tight timeframes and balance multiple assignments. Adept at understanding, managing, and tracking project GMPs and financial tracking related to the project.
