Underground Construction Miner, Thompson MB

Responsibilities
Carry out assigned construction tasks safely & efficiently with limited or no supervision, including but not limited to: vent wall/ door construction, fan/ duct installations, service extensions, chute installations, welding & shotcreting.
Read, understand, and interpret blueprints as well as rebar schematics. Develop risk assessments for all tasks and adhere to site policies and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Proficient in accurately documenting work performed during the shift. Experience, Education and Skills
Ability to operate LHD’s, Scissor Lifts, Forklifts, Zoom Booms & PC’s, and operate both Shotcrete Pot and Nozzle. Proficient in the use of Oxy/Ace cutting and SMAW welding processes, considered an asset. Possession of a valid CWB ticket, considered an asset. Strong safety ethic and ability to work collaboratively with other trades personnel and crew members, as well as independently with little or no supervision. Full Underground Basic Common Core is an asset. Health and Safety
