The Role: Lead and grow the Reading Construction team, with the flexibility to work across offices, including in London. Provide leadership by example, demonstrating a commercial, solutions-based approach to problem-solving and supporting the team in meeting client expectations and business goals. Be dependable and maintain positive relationships with partners, staff, and clients, contributing to the firm's overall success and fostering a culture of mutual respect. Oversee delegation, supervision, and the sharing of expertise to ensure high-quality service and the efficient running of the team.

About the Candidate: A recognised expert in construction law, with significant experience advising on and drafting amendments to standard form construction contracts (e.g. JCT, NEC), collateral warranties, bonds, and guarantees. Strong background in construction dispute resolution, including adjudication, arbitration, litigation, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR). A proven track record in business development, generating new business, driving growth, and contributing to the firm's strategic direction. Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a commitment to developing the next generation of lawyers within the team. A commercial, solutions-oriented approach to handling legal challenges, with an ability to work well under pressure and deliver results. High level of technical expertise and the aspiration to maintain legal excellence within the field, alongside an aptitude for networking, building client relationships, and undertaking training for clients and third parties.

Why Join This Firm? Opportunity to lead and grow a dynamic and expanding construction team, with flexibility to work across multiple locations, including London. Competitive salary and benefits package, with opportunities for career progression and professional development. A supportive, collaborative, and forward-thinking firm culture. The chance to shape the strategic direction of the firm's construction practice, driving growth and innovation in a thriving sector.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled and ambitious Construction Partner to take the next step in their career, leading a growing team and shaping the future of construction law.
