GBR Recruitment Ltd are proud to be working exclusively with a leading Building & Construction company, recruiting for an experienced Construction Engineering Project Engineer (Steel Framework Construction) to lead the delivery of bespoke Construction projects across varying end using industry sectors.

The client manufactures & installs bespoke temporary & semi-permanent (demountable) buildings that are steel framed.

The company is growing year on year due to continued market success & they offer fantastic modern modular structures, supplying heavily into the industrial, commercial, hospitality, retail, sports & leisure, healthcare, warehouse & distribution, plus education sectors, offering tailored solutions for storage, manufacturing, sporting activities, dining & more.

Duties:

Delivering construction / building projects safely, on budget & OTIF. Producing scope of works & basic AutoCAD drawings as required. Supervising contractors onsite, ensuring projects are being delivered to the specific client's bespoke needs. Working closely with the construction sales teams to deliver bespoke construction builds to a high standard. Managing build / project issues & escalating them for resolution, in order to keep on track with project delivery timescales / targets. Ensuring building standards & compliance is always met during the project rollout (all stages of the build plan). Providing project health reviews & implementing any corrective actions. Supporting post-implementation project reviews and the integration of any lessons learned into future project delivery as well as third-party project reviews. Supporting & providing responses to any internal & external compliance audits, ensuring the operation is audit-ready at all times. Supporting the building maintenance department as & when required. Proactively engaging in the HSE performance & behaviours of the project team & all contractors involved in any project on-site, continuously improving safety standards (CI focused on all HSE). Delivering toolbox talks & carrying out serious HSE events reviews with staff. Managing the project's risk assessments & method statements (RAMS). Responsible for maintaining a high level of construction site housekeeping & high-level safety standards. Actively participating & contributing towards RCA & continuous improvement plans (CI). The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate strong construction engineering experience gained within construction steelwork installations & other built environment project rollouts.

Specific Requirements:

Strong construction project leadership skills. Strong experience in construction engineering / construction project delivery (varying build types, across varying industry sectors). Excellent construction project planning & project scheduling skills, to deliver profitable projects OTIF to a high-quality standard. Degree or equivalent in construction discipline or built environment engineering or time served in a comparable role. Minimum IOSH Working Safely. IOSH Managing Safely Certificate (desirable). Some basic AutoCAD skills (ideal, but training can be given).
