Construction Lawyer required at a Leading Law Firm

Role Overview and Key Responsibilities

Join a top-tier law firm in a challenging, high-impact role where you will be central to:

  • Representing a diverse portfolio of national and international clients, with a particular emphasis on the Energy, Infrastructure, and Built Environment sectors.
  • Offering strategic, commercially minded legal counsel on significant energy, infrastructure, and development projects, along with strategies for avoiding and resolving disputes that arise on these projects.
  • Managing your own caseload, while also mentoring and providing guidance to junior lawyers within the team.
  • Actively participating in business development and contributing to the team’s strategic growth direction.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across national and international teams, as well as other practice areas, to help develop emerging business opportunities for the team.

Skills and Experience Required

We’re interested in speaking with construction lawyers eager to deepen their expertise in contentious matters within a dynamic, internationally focused-team. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • At least 4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in contentious construction law or a mix of contentious and non-contentious construction work.
  • Strong technical skills in managing high-value construction and engineering disputes, including the ability to:
  • Interpret and apply construction and engineering contracts in a way that adds practical value for our clients.
  • Comprehend complex legal arguments and nuanced contract interpretations, and clearly articulate the law to clients.
  • Develop strategic approaches for dispute avoidance and resolution that align with the client’s broader project goals.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to establish strong client relationships and deliver exceptional service internally and externally.
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude and a commitment to going the extra mile to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Strong organisational skills and a practical approach to managing deadlines, procedures, and the demands of a fast-paced workload.

If you are ready to take your career to the next level within a prestigious firm and make a tangible impact in the construction law sector, we’d love to hear from you.
