The successful post holder will be expected to work at both Stoke Mandeville and High Wycombe hospitals to deliver Consultant level anaesthesia. This could include emergency, trauma, plastics trauma, ophthalmics, obstetrics, or anaesthesia for spinal injured patients on the SMH site, or anaesthesia for elective surgery, or pre-operative assessment on the Wycombe site for the specialties previously listed. Qualifications and Training
MB, BS or equivalent FRCA or full equivalence CCT/CESR holder in Anaesthesia or Registration on GMC Specialist Register in Anaesthetics Or within six months of achieving CCT/CESR at the time of interview. Experience
General training in Anaesthesia to specialist level or equivalent (at least one year NHS experience) Ability to make decisions at Consultant level Extensive years' WTE Evidence of completion of advanced training (or equivalent) in: Pre-op assessment / Peri-operative Medicine Evidence of completion of advanced training (or equivalent) in: Orthopaedics and/or regional anaesthesia Evidence of completion of advanced training (or equivalent) in: Obstetric Anaesthesia Evidence of completion of advanced training in (or equivalent) in: Paeds Anaesthesia Evidence of completion of advanced training in (or equivalent) in: Ophthalmology Evidence of completion of advanced training in (or equivalent) in: Burns/Plastics Skills, abilities and knowledge
