The Role

The Psychological Therapies Team (PTT) exists to address the psychological needs of adults residing in the Lanarkshire area. As well as providing clinical assessment, formulation, and intervention, the service has responsibilities for consultation, teaching, and supervision. This role offers an opportunity to join the Airdrie / Coatbridge PTT at consultant level for a 12 months fixed term period. As well as carrying a clinical caseload appropriate to the demands of the role, the post holder will be required to take a leadership role within the team and will have responsibility for the operational management and professional leadership of the Airdrie / Coatbridge PTT. The post-holder will be required to lead on service development and to represent the PTT in meetings at various levels. A key part of the role will be in relation to multidisciplinary working; the post-holder will be required to support workforce development in relation to multidisciplinary working and to embed value-based and trauma-informed practice.
