Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is looking to appoint two Consultant Clinical Neurophysiologists. The appointees will undertake a range of peripheral neurophysiological investigations on both adult and paediatric patients including single fibre EMG. They will also report a wide range of electroencephalographic studies including ambulatory and long term monitoring studies on both adult and paediatric patients. Clinical Neurophysiology at NUH also has an orthopaedic (spinal) intraoperative monitoring service, very busy paediatric polysomnography practice and cerebral function monitoring on both adult and paediatric intensive care units. There is ample opportunity for appointees to develop and expand their own interests. Experience of paediatric neurophysiology would be advantageous as approximately 50% of the EEG referrals are from paediatricians and paediatric neurology. Similarly, experience of paediatric peripheral neurophysiology will also be very useful.

Clinical Neurophysiology at NUH is committed to the development of its scientist and practitioner workforce, with several consultant and trainee consultant scientists in post that support the medical workload. A commitment to continuing this training and support would be required plus training and development support for other staff in the department.

We are pleased to be able to offer recruitment incentives of £10,000 per employee plus relocation expenses of up to £6,000 (terms and conditions apply.)
