We are seeking to appoint a full-time consultant to join the existing team of 3 Consultants as part of the Diabetes and Endocrinology Department, in the Medicine Directorate at Tameside Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The clinical duties will be primarily based at Tameside Hospital with a few clinics at Ashton Primary Care Centre.
The post holder will have opportunities to develop other interests within Diabetes and Endocrinology. We would welcome someone to develop a sub-specialist interest in Diabetes. We have strong links with the Paediatrics and Obstetrics departments within the hospital to develop further specialist services in Diabetes. The post holder will participate in the day to day running of the diabetes and endocrinology service and will also have every opportunity to participate in the management of the service. They will undertake outpatient clinical activity and contribute to the development of specialist services to achieve consistent, high-quality care within the department.
This will be a 10PA per week post although other options will be considered. The position is a permanent appointment with an on-call commitment of 1:14. On-call commitments may be open to negotiation upon interview.
The successful candidate will join a team of highly dedicated medical, nursing, podiatry, and other professionals to help grow, develop, and innovate the service to meet modern standards of care.
