Qualifications
Full GMC Registration (or eligibility to obtain). CCT in Geriatric Medicine and Acute or General Medicine on GMC’s Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT from the date of the interview or have confirmed eligibility for Specialist Registration. Clinical Experience
Current wide range of geriatric medicine as well as general and acute medicine experience. Knowledge and experience of working with surgical liaison models. Management Skills
Attended management training course. Knowledge of finance / budgets. Experience in Training, Audit and Research
Demonstrable commitment and ability to teach and train undergraduates and junior doctors. Experience of clinical audit. Completed ‘Train the Trainers’ course. Relevant research articles in peer-reviewed journals. Personal Qualities
Demonstrate leadership skills within a multidisciplinary team. Ability to motivate staff and facilitate appropriate changes in clinical practice. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enthusiasm, and approachability. Commitment to continuing professional development and clinical governance. Evidence of innovation.
