Clinical

Minimum Requirements

CCT in Anaesthesia (or equivalent) or within 6 months at the date of interview Advanced training or fellowship in neuroanaesthesia ALS/ATLS/APLS provider Experience

Ability to work independently at consultant level and perform as a member of a team Evidence of ability to make decisions at consultant level and to manage complex clinical problems Evidence of completion of additional training in other relevant sub-specialty Membership of relevant Specialist Societies or Associations. Evidence of ability to make decisions at consultant level Skills and knowledge

Excellent leadership skills Ability to lead a clinical team at the level of a consultant in a teaching hospital Effective administrative and time management skills Knowledge of the NHS and the role of Clinical Networks Understanding of the complexities of working in a regional referral centre Evidence of significant contribution to successful teamwork Good written English and highly developed communication and interpersonal skills Experience of formal and informal contributions to teaching and training Evidence of effective and sustained contribution to clinical governance, clinical risk management and clinical audit activities Evidence of research activity Leadership and Management qualification Experience in implementing change Peer-reviewed publications Other requirements
