We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Consultant in Dermatology on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Medicine department.

Our client's Dermatology service is widely recognised for its comprehensive services, excellent facilities (including a dedicated library and Day Treatment Unit) and supportive general management. The outpatient services are delivered from the 3 main hospital sites, but also include some satellite clinics at community hospitals and GP surgeries. Specialist outpatient clinics cover: Contact Dermatitis Paediatric Allergy Vulval dermatoses Paediatric Dermatology Biologics/ Drug monitoring clinic Cosmetic camouflage Mohs surgery PDT Joint clinics are held with Plastic surgery. Microsoft Teams enabled MDT meetings run weekly.
The successful appointee will be asked to undertake various duties within the department, which include: Participating in the Dermatology department's teaching activities, management, and development projects as agreed with other senior staff. Actively participating in the teaching and appraisal of junior staff, other members of the clinical team, and community clinicians. Complying with Trust and GMC standards for appraisal and revalidation. There is no out of hours on-call and daytime second on-call is shared equally amongst all of the consultant body.
Our client offers the best of both worlds, with attractions of big cities, attractive market towns, and villages, all within easy travelling distance. There are excellent transport links to big cities such as Birmingham & London along with 2 highly touted international airports.
