FRCS or equivalent registration Full GMC registration Possession of CTT or within six months of receipt at the date of interview A wide grounding during training of all aspects of emergency surgery Experience of teaching clinical skills to undergraduates and postgraduates Understand principles and participated in audit activity Understand the principles of Clinical Governance and demonstrate experience of evidence-based practice. Ability to apply research outcomes to clinical and surgical problems Evidence of Research Activity or Higher Degree Completion of recognised College specialty training in sub-speciality Completion of teaching course Undertaken research with published papers in refereed journals. Experience of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy Emergency surgery course Sub-specialist interest Able to evaluate own clinical practice. Able to demonstrate innovative thinking Good written and oral communication skills. Be able to work effectively in a team. Ability to organise and develop service provision. Have a commitment to working within Trust policies and procedures as guided by the Clinical Director. Have a commitment to Continuing Medical Education / Continuing Professional Development.
