NHS Lanarkshire - University Hospital Wishaw Consultant Cardiologist with a Special Interest in Coronary Intervention Applications are invited from motivated and highly enthusiastic individuals for the post of Consultant Cardiologist with a specialty interest in coronary intervention. The successful applicant will join our existing team of five consultant cardiologists at the University Hospital Wishaw. The cardiology service is centred on a well-equipped department at UHW with a focus in the Ravenscraig Cardiology Suite. This post also enjoys strong links to the Joint NHS Lanarkshire Coronary Catheterisation Laboratory, based at University Hospital Hairmyres (UHH). The successful applicant will take a full share in the NHS Lanarkshire PPCI rota and will have regular catheter laboratory sessions of elective and urgent coronary angiography/PCI. This post also includes a commitment to the UHW’s cardiology services including input to daytime coronary care, cardiology inpatient care and outpatient services. However, there may also be the opportunity to grow other services such as pacing and CT. The job is offered as a full-time post on a 10 PA basis (including up to 2 non-DCC) but applications will be considered from those wishing to work less than full-time.
