This role offers a rare opportunity to develop a new service and to provide high-quality psychiatric care within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment in collaboration with Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust (BHFT). As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping patient care and contributing to the ongoing success of our services. Responsibilities include:

Lead a team consisting of a Consultant Psychiatrist, 2 Specialty Doctors, and a Physical Health Nurse/Nurse prescriber. Provide expert psychiatric assessments and treatment for a diverse patient population. Lead and manage patient care within your specialty, ensuring the highest standards of care. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, therapists, nursing staff, and colleagues in BHFT. Engage in clinical governance and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Participate in on-call rotations, ensuring continuous high-quality care. The rota will be shared with an acute hospital in the south, Priory Hospital Southampton. Foster relationships with external stakeholders and maintain a network of professional contacts. Ensure compliance with all relevant clinical guidelines and regulatory standards. Commit to ongoing professional development and meet Revalidation requirements. Full GMC registration with specialist registration in psychiatry. Extensive experience in [specific fields/substance misuse/psychiatry]. Strong knowledge of Clinical Governance and adherence to regulatory frameworks. Successful completion of an enhanced DBS check, provided by Priory Newbury.
