The post holder will be instrumental in promoting the success of the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service, ensuring that clients receive a quality service based on the principles of clinical governance. The primary outcome will be the highest standards of occupational health, and the post holder will maximize the use of resources and exploit development opportunities to their fullest potential. In conjunction with the Specialist Occupational Health Nurses, the post holder will demonstrate specialist knowledge and expertise in Occupational Health as a clinician, educator, advisor, and advocate. Advise management regarding the working environment in relation to specific health issues, the occurrence and significance of identified hazards, and the health aspects of safety, including statutory requirements in relation to health. Ensure development and review of policies and plans in conjunction with other Occupational Health (OH) staff for the further development of the service. Be involved in research (where applicable), medical audit, the organization's Clinical Governance processes, and Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Complete annual updates in mandatory training. Ensure that all duties are carried out to the highest possible standard and in accordance with the current quality initiatives within the area of work, particularly to ensure working to SEQOHS standards. Respect confidentiality and comply with the Data Protection Act 1998, and the General Data Protection Regulations 2018 when processing, accessing, or transferring data, and in line with the organization's policies. Actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning clinical governance and audit and play a lead role in promoting and introducing a safety and just culture to the Trust. Articulate the Trust vision, ambition, and strategic priorities with particular emphasis on Occupational Health and Wellbeing (OHWB).
