Priory Hospital East Midlands, located between Nottingham and Mansfield, is a 28-bedded specialist acute and psychiatric intensive care service for female patients.
We offer individualised care packages for patients, specialising in managing behaviours that lead to distress, supported by a strong team of psychologists and occupational therapists. Our multidisciplinary team focuses on positive behavioural support planning to help patients manage and develop new strategies to improve their distress and trauma.

10-bedded psychiatric intensive care unit for females of working age. The ward is proficient at nursing patients in a severe phase of their mental health illness and integrates current best practices to promote recovery. Our multidisciplinary team has vast experience in managing high levels of patient distress, allowing our ward to admit from various clinical settings, including other mental health inpatient wards and accident and emergency departments. Quartz Ward
9-bedded acute service providing treatment for females of working age. Quartz Ward aims to act as an extension to NHS care pathways during times of fluctuating capacity and flow, allowing more people to receive care and treatment with minimal disruption. Quartz Ward works collaboratively with family/carers and a host of CCGs to strive for minimum lengths of hospital stays, aiming for discharge into the community when possible. We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist at Priory Hospital East Midlands. The hospital provides female adult Acute and PICU inpatient services, delivered in partnership with our NHS partners. We now have a full-time Consultant vacancy to cover the 10-bedded Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This may be subject to future changes depending on the service needs of the site and the skills set of the medical workforce at the time. The site receives support from an experienced Specialty Doctor, and the services accept admissions 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We seek to appoint a highly motivated Consultant Psychiatrist to complement our existing medical workforce. The successful candidate will be joining an expanding and clinically diverse Priory North Region. What We Offer
