The Trust is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to work with the Sarum Community Mental Health Team (CMHT). This is a great opportunity to work within an established multi-disciplinary team that believes in collaborative work and places the patient at the center of their practice.
The post holder will play a key role in the multi-disciplinary team, providing advice and assessment of patients under the Working Adult CMHT service, liaising and working closely with other local services and GPs.
Salisbury has a weekly academic programme, a monthly PDP group, and peer supervision. CPD activities are supported. The post offers study leave arrangements as well as good research, service development, and leadership opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Assess and treat service users in the community. Undertake urgent and routine psychiatric assessments when necessary. Liaise with GPs regarding service users' medical monitoring results. Liaise with other parts of the service, GPs, and non-NHS organisations wherever applicable. Provide advice and consultation to members of the multi-disciplinary teams and regularly attend MDT meetings. Ensure effective and timely documentation and communication of clinical decision-making and management plans.
