Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) at one of the largest and most complex Mental Health NHS Foundation Trusts in the country.

As part of the Integrated Community Care and Recovery Directorate, you will provide medical leadership and engage with a multidisciplinary team, primary care, and voluntary sector organisations to drive positive change in mental health services. Your focus will be on adopting a population health approach, addressing health inequalities, and enhancing collaborative relationships across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise the clinical team, promoting shared clinical responsibility and ensuring high-quality, person-centred care. Work collaboratively with primary care teams and the voluntary sector to improve service delivery and access for underserved groups. Support the transformation of mental health services, with less direct patient contact over time as you take on more consultative and supervisory duties. Ensure effective physical health monitoring and liaise with specialist services to ensure comprehensive care for patients with complex needs. Lead and engage in clinical governance, contributing to audits, quality improvement initiatives, and national audits. Provide expert psychiatric consultation and supervision across the team, contributing to the professional development of junior staff.

Requirements:

Consultant-level experience in General Adult Psychiatry with a strong understanding of community mental health. Ability to adopt a consultative approach in working with diverse teams and professionals. Passionate about population health, community engagement, and addressing health inequalities. Proven experience in clinical supervision, governance, and continuous professional development.

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a transforming community mental health service. Join a team that is committed to delivering high-quality care, fostering collaboration, and improving mental health outcomes in the community.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, please apply online ASAP.
