Rheumatology Consultant in the East Midlands, UK . The area offers the best of both worlds - cosmopolitan city life and stunning countryside Substantive 10PA: Job Plan components for this post may be subject to change (with negotiation) but are currently (for a full-time post holder): DCC 7.75; SIFT 0.75; SPA 1.5 Trust Information Hospitals see more than 4,000 outpatients daily See more Trauma & Orthopaedic outpatients than any other Trust - over 3,300 per week An average 860 patients are seen in A&E every day - 6th largest in the country Hospitals admit more than 220 emergency patients daily. Carry out more planned surgical operations than any other Trust in England with almost 50,000 operations taking place in our 52 operating theatres One of only 5 Trusts nationally with more than 50 operating theatres Carry out more than 300 elective procedures each working day What’s on offer for you? Salary scale between £105,504 and £139,882 Full comprehensive relocation package on offer for a substantive contract. Generously funded study leave is available. Cycle to work scheme Blue light discounts Key Responsibilities: Providing expert care to patients with rheumatic diseases, including diagnosis, treatment, and management Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care Conducting consultations, assessments, and follow-ups in outpatient clinics and hospital settings Participating in research, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives within the department Responsibility for the continuing care & treatment of patients in your charge & personal performance of clinical duties as agreed in your job plan, allowing for all proper delegation to, & training of your staff. To actively participate in both departmental & Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance & audit. To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing medical education (CME). Qualifications: Medical degree and completion of specialty training in Rheumatology Full Specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) or eligibility for registration Demonstrated expertise and experience in Rheumatology practice Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills Please get in touch with a copy of your CV or simply email
