Consultant Rheumatology (Pure Rheum or with GIM)
NHS CONSULTANT RHEUMATOLOGY VACANCY
We've been assigned by one of the best performing NHS Trusts in the UK to help them recruit a Consultant Rheumatologist on either a Substantive or a 12-month NHS Fixed Term basis.
Our client can offer either pure Rheumatology or with GIM.
Our client achieved “Outstanding” in their 2016 Care Quality Commission inspection and an overall “Good” rating across the rest of the hospital. This is a regional centre of excellence for several key specialties including Obesity Research, Neurophysiology, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, and Cancer Services. The Trust has a perfect location which offers both London and Midlands within easy reach, access to major motorways, and an international airport within immediate proximity.
This is a newly created post to join an existing team of 6 well-established Rheumatologists. The preferred interest will be in Bone Health and Osteoporosis; however, this is not essential. Where possible, the Consultant will develop a research interest compatible with the background of the department and its facilities.
The Consultant will attend weekly MDT meetings and fortnightly X-ray meetings and will be expected to help support and train the SpR's and other junior medical staff.

Naturally, GMC registration is essential; however, overseas applicants with visa requirements will be supported.
