We welcome applicants for the Substantive Consultant, 10 session post to join a well-established Urology team. The post offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated person to work in a busy department to help further develop modern urological services and to deliver an increasing workload. The appointee will contribute to core urology and take an active role in extending the current service provision in Stones and Endourology to meet the increasing demand for Urological services in North Wales. Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) is the largest health organisation in Wales, with a budget of £1.7 billion and a workforce of over 19,000 staff. The Health Board provides primary, community, mental health, and acute hospital services for the population of North Wales. BCUHB provides a full range of primary, community, mental health, acute, and specialist hospital services across 3 acute hospitals, 22 community hospitals, and a network of over 90 health centres and clinics. The Health Board coordinates or provides the work of 113 GP practices and NHS services provided by dentists, opticians, and pharmacists across the region. Qualifications

FRCS (Urol) or equivalent. Full GMC registration. Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT or CESR (CP) - proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview. Further higher qualification. Stones / Endourology fellowship. Experience

Satisfactory completion of a recognised training programme or equivalent urology programme. Academic Achievement, Research and Publication

Exposure to research methodology; good academic training together with research and publication is an advantage. Teaching and Education

Experience and interest in teaching both junior medical and non-medical staff. Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development and lifelong learning. Commitment to teaching. Audit

Relevant experience in clinical audit. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
