The post offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated person to work in a busy department to help further develop modern urological services and to deliver an increasing workload. It is envisaged that the appointee will contribute both to core urology and to take an active role in extending the current service provision in Stones and Endourology, to cover the increasing demand for Urological service in North Wales. Modern 21st Century surgery is undertaken in a designated urological theatre equipped for almost all types of modern urology, including Holmium laser surgery (stones and prostate), flexible ureterorenoscopy, Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL) and mini-PCNL, transurethral resection in saline, penile prosthesis and artificial urinary sphincter implants, all treatments for female urinary incontinence, as well as Rezum and Urolift surgery (for benign prostate disease).
