Legal The purpose of a consumer paralegal at easyJet is to provide legal support to the management and coordination of consumer legal challenges that arise as a result of operational disruption. As a paralegal in this role, you will be responsible for providing legal support to the management and coordination of consumer legal challenges from customers in Italy. Your primary focus will be on handling claims related to operational disruption, specifically delays and cancellations. What you'll be doing: This role focuses on managing and processing consumer legal challenges related to operational disruptions at easyJet. It involves reviewing claims for delays and cancellations to decide which should be legally challenged and ensuring all systems and databases are kept accurate and up to date. You’ll handle a range of legal cases, including litigated and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) claims, seeing them through from start to finish. This includes meeting deadlines, working with legal representatives, preparing for trials, and using operational data to support cases. The role also involves working closely with internal and external legal teams, advising on EU 261 legislation and consumer laws, and providing guidance to the business during times of disruption. You’ll play a key part in maintaining records, processing payments, and keeping evidence and precedent databases up to date. What you'll bring to the team: We’re looking for someone with experience in aviation or dispute resolution claims who is highly organised and able to manage a busy workload effectively. You should be a self-starter with strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence and negotiate when needed. Confidence working with data and familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, are important. While legal qualifications are a big plus, they’re not essential. Native Italian and fluent English are required, and additional European languages would be a bonus.
