Consumer Communications Manager
for the UK and Ireland, you will lead consumer-facing campaigns that build awareness and excitement around our platform. You’ll balance strategic, large-scale initiatives with an ongoing drumbeat of creative storytelling to ensure we remain top-of-mind for travelers and media alike. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and community engagement, to deliver campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences. Your ability to craft creative and culturally relevant stories will play a vital role in enhancing our reputation and driving demand for our platform. This role is based in London and reports to the Senior Communications Manager, UK & Ireland. This is a 12 months contract, offering £61,250 per annum, pro rata (PAYE). What You’ll Do: Identify and drive proactive press opportunities, including national and global announcements, to support consumer and product goals. Develop culturally resonant campaigns that drive demand, incorporating celebrities, influencers, and opinion leaders in the UK and Ireland. Handle incoming media inquiries, using data, research, and compelling stories from our community to shape narratives. Craft a wide range of written materials, including press releases, blog posts, pitches, Q&As, and messaging guidelines. Build and maintain relationships with key journalists, influencers, and partners to amplify our brand. Oversee media opportunities with our host and guest community, providing them with tools to share their experiences. Collaborate with local, regional, and global teams to ensure alignment on strategic communications initiatives. Manage PR agencies, ensuring seamless campaign execution, reporting, and localization of global press materials. What We’re Looking For: Experience:
Communications, PR, or a related field, with a proven track record in consumer campaigns. Experience in lifestyle, tech, internet, or travel sectors is a plus. Media Savvy:
Strong understanding of the UK media landscape with established relationships across key outlets. Creative Vision:
A passion for pop culture and storytelling, with the ability to craft ideas that capture editorial media attention and drive social engagement. Project Management:
Expertise in managing complex campaigns, including events, influencer partnerships, and data-driven storytelling initiatives. Collaboration:
Skilled at working cross-functionally and managing external PR agencies to deliver impactful results. Adaptability:
Thrives in fast-paced environments and is comfortable navigating change. Communication:
Exceptional writing and interpersonal skills, with confidence in presenting to senior stakeholders and media contacts. Education:
