Role Purpose:
We are seeking a talented Content and Copy Writer to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating compelling content that engages our target audience and drives brand awareness. The Content and Copy Writer will collaborate closely with our project and operations teams to develop and execute content strategies across various channels, including the website, blog, email, and more. This role requires a strong command of language, excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and creativity.
Objectives:
Develop and produce high-quality, engaging content for marketing campaigns, including website copy, blog posts, email newsletters, whitepapers, case studies, and more.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives, target audience, and messaging goals.
Research charity trends and donor insights to inform content strategy and optimize content performance.
Write clear, concise, and persuasive copy that effectively communicates brand messaging and value propositions.
Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
Optimize content for SEO to improve organic search visibility and drive website traffic.
Stay up-to-date with emerging content trends, best practices, and technologies to continuously improve content quality and effectiveness.
Skills & Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
Proven experience as a content writer, copywriter, or similar role in a marketing or advertising agency, in-house marketing team, or freelance capacity.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong understanding of content strategy, SEO principles, and digital marketing concepts.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), SEO tools, and analytics platforms is a plus.
Portfolio of writing samples demonstrating versatility, creativity, and proficiency in various content formats and styles.
