Keeping Industry Working . The Content Editor role is key in supporting the successful delivery of the Content strategy which also supports the Digital and Merchandising strategies. Working in close collaboration with Category Managers, Suppliers and Merchandisers, the CE will use customer data and competitor benchmarking to drive a competitive commercial advantage through the creation and enhancement of product content. Their product knowledge and content expertise will ensure they create solutions-based content which answers customers' questions, facilitates an effortless customer experience, and provides all the information a customer needs to find, research, and buy with confidence. What will you do on a normal day? Create and curate engaging product content to support product introductions Improve accuracy and relevance of content by ensuring the alignment with customer search requirements via Bright Edge and Google Analytics Maintain consistency and customer relevancy of taxonomy and associated schema Deliver content enrichment to agreed customer and quality fill levels to improve commercial results through increased SEO traffic and conversion Use customer data via analytics, supplier insight, technical product information and competitor benchmarking to create unique product content that delivers a competitive commercial advantage Utilise copywriting and SEO skills to author solutions led content which drives increased ranking and offers a great customer experience Ensure the ongoing integrity and accuracy of product data by the completion of content amendments Develop a close working relationship with peers and other areas of the business to share best practice, align activities and improve business performance What are we looking for? Experience in content creation for a large assortment of technical products Experience in the use of customer data, supplier insight and competitor benchmarking to drive a competitive customer and commercial advantage Ability to put yourself in the customers’ shoes SEO or on-site search experience with experience of growing key digital performance indicators Good knowledge of Google Analytics, Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, BI and Word) Excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively High attention to detail required with a high degree of accuracy Proactive, high energy, results orientated & enthusiastic The ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure About Cromwell
