The role Orbit are delighted to announce that we are looking to recruit a Content Lead. As the Content Lead, you will lead on the delivery of customer-focused communications across online and offline channels in line with brand and tone of voice guidelines. You will excel in communicating clear narratives that help explain complex subjects and operational processes, focusing on what is most important to our customers whilst promoting our vision, values, and Customer Commitments. In this crucial role, you will work closely with operational teams to plan, manage, and deliver a regular flow of well-planned, multi-channel customer communications for specific Orbit schemes undergoing improvements works. You’ll also respond to crisis and issues with clear communications that are appropriate for the audience and in line with our tone of voice and style guides. What you'll achieve Your key responsibilities will be to: Plan, develop and implement improvements to customer communications across a range of channels including (but not limited to) direct mail, email, SMS, webpages, noticeboards, telephony scripts, and contractor communications. Work alongside members of Communications & Brand, Customer Engagement, Research & Insight, and operational teams to ensure a consistent and well-aligned approach to how we communicate with customers. Liaise with stakeholders across the business to source facts/information, keep them informed and updated, and manage approvals. Ensure that all customer communication content promotes our vision, values, and Customer Commitments. Create new high-quality customer-focused content suitable for distribution/publication across multiple channels and tailored to specific customer cohorts where appropriate. What you'll bring Essential skills Critical thinker, good analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to think creatively, strategically, and project plan. The ability to inspire confidence with a wide range of stakeholders including customers, contractors, operational teams, and senior leadership. Experience of developing communication and marketing strategies and using digital and print media to engage customers. Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of requirements of target audience and how to tailor content appropriately taking into account the channel and required outcomes.
