Based at our offices in central Harrogate, North Yorkshire Dedicated time for training and development Birthday day off Zelst is a long standing Google Partner and Microsoft Partner with the additional development benefits this entails The role of Content Strategist is to create and implement creative and effective Content strategies for our clients, ensuring that their objectives are met. This role involves client and prospect liaison and assisting the Head of Content with the day-to-day management and mentoring of the Content Team. Reporting to the Head of Content, you will also build strong relationships with: The Technical Team The Paid Team The Content and Social Media Team The Senior Management Team The Administration and Finance Team Role Responsibilities Include:

Create and implement excellent content strategies for our clients and prospects Effectively communicate and present content strategy to our clients and prospects Be involved in regular client strategy review meetings and provide feedback to the Content team and Heads of Departments Carry out content audits, competitor research, identifying opportunities for clients to excel Carry out content gap and keyword gap analysis Proofread and edit content accurately, offering constructive feedback to peers and to clients Create target audience personas to help inform and guide content strategy and to support broader campaign and client activities Monitor and analyse client campaign progress and feed back to the Head of Content along with recommendations Assist with the preparation of monthly and ad-hoc client reports, ensuring that they are timely and accurate Maintain and develop excellent professional relationships with our clients to aid in achieving their objectives and client retention Assist the Head of Content to manage, mentor and motivate the Content team Carry out internal content training for the Zelst team as required Be involved in the on-boarding of new clients Assist with the preparation of client presentations and pitches and participate as necessary Assist with carrying out competitor analysis and identify areas of interest or concern for Zelst, including offering solutions and new ideas to keep us fresh and competitive in the Search Marketing Sector Proactively contribute to the wider team with ideation and innovative strategies Work closely across teams and with key stakeholders to ensure content strategies align with our client’s wider marketing campaigns Be responsive to constructive feedback Ensure accurate completion of time sheets Adapt to and utilise different software systems used to carry out daily work and activities Key Skills, Experience and Attributes

Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a content role Excellent proofreading and editing skills Excellent knowledge of best practices of search content marketing and demonstrable experience implementing this Experience in building positive client relationships Ability to deliver a high level of customer service High level of knowledge of SEO best practices Strong understanding of UX design principles and how this affects content strategy development Experience in training and coaching team members with the ability to provide productive, meaningful feedback Strong written and verbal communication skills with team members, clients, prospects and other stakeholders Highly organised and the ability to multi-task and prioritise Good level of Microsoft and Google Suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Docs and Sheets) Excellent level of attention to detail Be forward-thinking Be solution-oriented and adaptable Be proactive with a can-do approach to work Have the curiosity and creativity to explore new approaches to challenges Positive mindset and upbeat attitude, bringing value to both our clients and the Zelst Team Competent knowledge and familiarity with main social media channels and platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, X, TikTok and YouTube Analytical skills which will help to provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve ROI for clients Commercial understanding and mindset Place of Work

The role of Content Strategist is an office-based role, with the possibility of also working from home. £35k to £40k per annum, depending on experience and skill set. 25 days plus bank holidays, increasing to 30 days plus bank holidays with length of service.
