Aerospace & Energy PRS Engineering have engaged with a new client, an FTSE listed International Aerospace Manufacturer. This opportunity is based in Hertfordshire, and we are seeking a CI Engineer on a permanent basis. This part of the business specializes in precision machined components, assemblies, and emerging markets. The role of the CI Engineer is to proactively identify and implement improvements within the manufacturing environment, using lean tools and a data-driven approach to create value in efficiency, safety, and quality. The CI Engineer will develop tools, techniques, and processes to address manufacturing issues related to ergonomics, safety, quality, and cost. Additionally, the CI Engineer will be responsible for actioning technical changes (routing/BOM's/technical instructions/etc.) via Engineering stamp allocation. The ability to communicate clearly within a group environment is essential, as is enthusiasm, cooperation, and a positive outlook. An understanding of the processes and procedures involved in the day-to-day operation of an Engineering department is important, as is the ability to prioritize. Continuous Improvement Engineer - Responsibilities

Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, waste removal, and cost reduction by identifying non-value-added activities. Work alongside the Engineering function within SATE to officialize and action technical changes. Support and facilitate Practical Problem Solving (PPS) and root cause analysis. Plan, facilitate, and execute continuous improvement events using Lean Six Sigma tools. Continuously improve processes both on the shop floor and in office areas by collaborating with various departments. Work in conjunction with the Operations team to organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resources, optimizing facility layout. Use lean tools and a data-driven approach to find ways to reduce cost and improve quality. Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety, environmental, and quality regulations. Support SQDIP board management. Key Requirements

Experience working in a manufacturing company, preferably within an Aerospace environment. Understanding of lean principles, tools, and techniques (e.g., value stream mapping, process mapping, 8 wastes, 5S, time observations, value add/non-value add, etc.). Proven track record in the use and deployment of lean manufacturing tools, techniques, and systems. 6 Sigma (or equivalent) qualified. Self-motivated, organized with excellent time management skills. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Excellent interpersonal skills. Computer literate, including MS Office.
